About
Vestimenta Sacra Liturgica What is Vestimenta Sacra Liturgica? Vestimenta
Sacra Liturgica is a small, traditional Roman Catholic family-run
business
specializing in ecclesiastical vestments and church furnishings. The
focus of our vestments and furnishings are twofold: made-to-measure
and keeping to the styles and traditions of hundreds of years of
vestment making. All vestments and furnishings are made with reverence
and for the glory of God, following in the footsteps of all preceding
traditional vestment makers.
VSL is currently
producing items
such as surplices, cassocks, stoles, mantillas, birettas, altar linens, altar frontals and other church furnishings.
Who
is Vestimenta
Sacra Liturgica? VSL
currently consists of a mother with a young child. She left a life
in the executive corporate world to pursue a vocation in motherhood and
ecclesiastical
sewing. Based in beautiful British Columbia Canada, she has been kept
busy sewing for both a growing number of seminarians and the growing
traditional latin rite parish that she attends.
How Can I Get More Information? Due to a growing number of commissions
(as
well as the growth of the family), the development of the website is
currently behind schedule. Over time, the website will expand to
include a listing of products, prices and historical information about
the vestments and furnishings made by VSL.
In the
meantime, please feel free to contact
us with any questions that you may have. We are happy to take
on more commissions and we look forward to hearing from you.
What Are the Payment Methods? Payment is currently accepted
via PayPal or personal cheques. Please contact us prior to making any
payments to confirm the best method of payment.
Credits I
would like to thank our good friend (the type designer) for designing
the VSL logo, font, and business card. He captured my vision
exactly. Thanks also goes to our friend (the web developer) who
gave some great advice on the design and development of this website. I
hope to be able to find the time to use all the advice that she gave
me.
Our parish priest and our three seminarians have been
great supporters. They entrusted me with sewing their vestments and
church furnishings just as I was venturing into this new vocation and
starting this fledgling business. For this, I am very thankful.
I
must also thank my wonderful husband who has been my greatest supporter
in more ways than one. He still proudly wears my very first
vestment - a cassock - every Sunday when he serves the Holy Sacrifice
of the Mass at our little parish.
Finally, I thank Our Lord
and His Blessed Mother for showing me the way to this vocation and
giving me the skills to create for His Glory.
